In implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department participated in the training course related to the Bologna which was hold on Sunday, 1/10/2023, in Al-Hakim Hall at the University of Baghdad. The training course discussed the importance and mechanism of application the Bologna process system, which is planned to be applicated starting in the academic year 2023-2024, in the presence of the deputy ministry of higher education and scientific research and a number of Iraqi university professors.
The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University of Technology, in cooperation with the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Department, the division of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held the workshop " Iraqi universities ranking with the performance of scientific departments according to the Iraqi ranking ".
The workshop, attended by the vice President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Hussain H. Karim, the vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Haider A. Dahd,and the directors of the Quality Assurance Division in the university, dealt with a detailed explanation of the Iraqi ranking indicators and ways to inhance the performance of universities to the level of international universities.
The Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Dr. Ali M. Khudair, said: The workshop aimed to improve the universities’ performance of it's teaching staff, as well as emphasis the efforts on the achievements through publishing all the research in international research journals and achieves the scientific awards.
The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department achieved its visits accompanied by the registration and student affairs and legal affairs departments within the work of the university central audit examination committee related to audit the integrity of the examination committees ’procedures in the scientific departments in documenting students’ grades in the main score records to ensure that the standards of accuracy and reliability , the quality standards and instructions applied there to preserve the rights of students, in accordance with the Examination Administration Guide that was previously issued to universities within the academic year 2017-2018 , the work is continues until now.
The university committee visited all engineering and scientific departments at the university according to a schedule prepared for this purpose.
The works included fixing audit notes and visiting the departments later to follow up on the notes that have been proven.
Finally, the examination committee expressed its thanks to the scientific departments for their cooperation and good reception.
The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department held a (virtuall) workshop on the Iraqi ranking for the academic year 2018/2019 on Sunday January/31/2021 according to the updated forms on Jun/10/2021 in the presence of the directors of the Quality Assurance Division in the scientific departments and a number of quality representatives in Scientific branches .
The director of the Quality Assurance Department clarified the criteria and indicators adopted in this classification with a brief explanation of the mechanism for entering ranking data into the program prepared for this purpose.
